We have two in January. These are a fundraiser for our school and fun for the kids.

Alien in Line Rollerskating

We will have Alien in Line coming to TRS for 6 days in January. On these days, if you would like to please send your child with their bike/rollerskating helmet for use for the week.

Celebration of Learning

On the Calendar I sent home yesterday, I had that our Celebration of Learning would be taking place on Monday, January 27. It will now take place on January 28 at 9am. Please feel free to join us as Room 3 will be presenting along with Room 8.

This Week in Room 3

We had a wonderful week of joy, fun and learning.

We want to thank you for a beautiful first half of the year helping us support your little learners here at school! We have loved our 72 school days with them and are looking forward to more fun, learning and  growth in the New Year.

This Week in Room 3

We made gifts for our families. We loved the Gingerbread man so much that while we ate snack we read some new versions of the Gingerbread man! We have been loving them all and have been discussing the. differences in all of them to the original.We worked on identifying syllables and nouns when readig the poem, Five Yummy Gingerbread.This was a lot of fun! 

This week in Math, we continued practicing our addition skills using a variety of tools, such as number beads and number lines. We have also begun looking at shapes.

In the gym we have been enjoying playing Candy Cane tag. 

In Art we made snowflakes with paper and scissors.

We spent a lot of time practicing for our Winter Concert! We hope you enjoyed the show!

This Week in Room 3

We read three different versions of the story of the Gingerbread Man. We discussed Characters and Settings, and practiced distinguishing between the two and then sorted them. We also discussed how stories can have similarities and differences. We compared and contrasted the story The Gingerbread Man and The Gingerbread Girl.

We also made gingerbread play dough and have loved playing with it all week making shapes and being creative. It also makes our classroom smell so good.

This week in Math, we continued practicing our addition skills using a variety of tools, such as number beads and number lines.

In Science, we did an experiment making Ooblek which is made by mixing corn starch and water! This was messy but a lot of fun.

In the gym we have been enjoying playing cooperative tag games and What Time is it Mr. Wolf? We have also enjoyed using the EZ Rollers and playing catch while using them with the soft balls.

In Art we made Christmas stockings and worked on our December Self Portraits.

It was a great week in Room 3! Have a wonderful weekend!
