This week in Room 3:
Literacy - This week, we did some sharing and writing about our weekends. We finished our alphabet letter exploration with the letters Z and Q. We have begun to explore our feelings. We started with the feeling Anger, and were able to write about what makes us angry. We discussed managing these angry feelings.
Math - This week in Math we continued practicing using number lines, and also used them as a tool to answer addition word problems. We read the book Walter's Wonderful Web and discussed a variety of different shapes this week.
Science - This week we did a Science experiment with sugar cubes and water. The students enjoyed making guesses about how many cubes would soak up the water.
Art - This week we made our own webs with white glue and salt and water colour painted them. The turned out super cool!
We went to the grocery store this week and each selected a pumpkin to bring back to our class. We will use the pumpkins for our pumpkin science, math and literacy activities next week. This is a lot of fun and the students seem to really enjoy these outings and choosing their own items.
Reminder to send your signed IPP pages back as soon as you can!
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!
