Abbey's Ice Cream:
Thank you for sending your child with money to participate in our visit to Abbey's Ice Cream. It was a beautiful day for a walk outside and we enjoyed choosing, ordering and of course, eating our ice cream!
Alien in-line Rollerskating
This has been so much fun! Our class has been learning new skills while on wheels, such as how to stop, and how to fall on our knees. We will be rollerskating for one more day on Monday, Jan. 27.
Celebration of Learning
On the January Calendar I sent home before the break, I had that our Celebration of Learning would be taking place on Monday, January 27. It will now take place on January 28 at 9am. Please feel free to join us as Room 3 will be presenting along with Room 8.
This Week in Room 3
In Math, we continued working on 3D Shapes. We discussed vertices, edges and faces in more detail and continued to practice identifying attributes of shapes. We also looked for 3D Shapes in our daily life, and identified those 3D Shapes by name.
In Literacy, we did targeted Word Work, practicing our reading and writing skills. We also did weekend writing, we wrote notes to our Star of the Week, practiced counting syllables and identifying nouns in a poem called January, and continued practicing our How To Writing.
During tech time this week we did a Kahoot! It was a lot of fun. We also practiced typing our Agenda messages this week.
